Steve Burgess

Steve has gone above and beyond for Scouting in Wales. In an awards ceremony organised by Scouts Cymru, he won a Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication since 1984 to Sketty Scout Group. He has been an inspiration since he first joined the campsite service team. Steve is a wonderful example of what Scouting is really about and has shown time and time again the true spirit of Scouting.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
