Skills for Life

Each section meets weekly providing a wide range of programmed activities. The meetings take place both inside and outdoors giving our young people a variety of life experiences. Events and camps are run throughout the year to consolidate skills developed during weekly meetings.

Welcome to Sketty Scout Group

Sketty Scout Group is located in the suburban district of Sketty in Swansea, South Wales. Our HQ is located in the grounds of St Pauls Church and borders Singleton Park.

The group was established in 1911 and has over 144 members and 35 adult volunteers making it one of the largest Scout Group in the Area. Each week we deliver Scouting to 2 Beaver Colonies, 2 Cub Packs and 2 Scout Troops. Anyone aged between 14 to 18 is welcome to contact and join the District Explorer section.

More information is available in the relevant age-related sections.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with our section nights, events and committee. If you are wondering how you could help, check out our volunteer pages. Don’t worry, we will support you to develop skills and offer training along the way!

We are a very active group with camps and activities happening all the time. We aim to develop young people with #SkillsForLife, whilst having fun and making new friends. See what we have been up to on our social media pages. Decided Scouts is for you? Visit our joining page to sign up.
